November 06 First Saturday – Memorial for John Hoeldt
Our first Saturday ride in November will be a memorial ride in honor of John Hoeldt.
RIDE DETAILS
For those that will be riding, here are the details:
We will be riding to the service as a group as requested by Sandy. Please be sure to wear your vests and chapter shirts. As John touched many lives in the riding community, any and all who wish to ride in his honor are welcome. Please join us.
Meet Place: RideNow Powersports
– Peoria (8546 W. Ludlow Drive, Peoria) (Loop 101 & Thunderbird)Meet Time: 9:00 am.
Leave Time: 9:30 to begin the ride in honor of John.
John was a Veteran and served our country with honor. To honor his memory, the Patriot Guard will be standing a flag line in front of the mortuary as people arrive.
There will be a short service starting at 10:00 am and will include a time for sharing memories and reflections of John.

Grand Canyon Caverns is a
natural limestone cavern 210 feet underground and the largest dry cavern in the
U.S. (See "History" link also). You enter and leave the caverns by means of an
elevator. The tour begins with an elevator ride down 21 stories (210 feet) to
the Chapel of the Ages cavern, the scene of numerous weddings throughout the
years and large enough to hold two football fields. Your guide will tell you
about the history of these awesome Caverns, including information regarding
areas you will not visit.
Regular Tour: $14.95/Adult - $9.95/ Kids
We offer a 45 minute, 3/4 mile guided walking tours.
Our Short Tour - $11.95 / Adult - $7.95 / Kids
Our guided, 25-minute "short tour" is specifically designed for our guests who are short on time or who may not be physically able to participate in the entire walking tour (wheel chair accessible).

Thunder Mountain Rally Kickoff – RIDENOW POWERSPORTS PEORIA
Our supporting dealer, RideNow Powersports Peoria, will be hosting the Thunder Mountain Rally kick off at the new location (8546 W. Ludlow Drive, Peoria, AZ 85381 - (623) 334-3434)
STAR of Phoenix will have a booth set up from 1:00 – 5:00 pm to promote STAR of Phoenix, Chapter 113 and to help support Ridenow Powersports Peoria. Please come out and work the booth for an hour or two and help promote both STAR and RideNow Peoria.

50/50 drawing to benefit the STAR FAMILY FOUNDATION and Chapter 281
There will be raffles and activities, as well as a gun and machine gun shoot.
Note: All are welcome to bring your weaponry to practice as it is a gun range. There will be a nominal fee to shoot the machine guns. Also VERY IMPORTANT. The range is a COLD range so all weapons must be broken down ( Magazines removed, actions opened prior to entering the range for those of you with wheel guns they must be unloaded with the action open. You will need to supply your own ammo.
